Designing Change That Doesn't Need Permission

&us needed a marketing piece that would disrupt the tired narrative around organisational transformation – something that felt less like a corporate manual and more like a call to action.

Over a thousand books were sent to existing and new clients, building connections and the pipeline of future work

Using bold typography and Midjourney to generate on-brand imagery, the book became a manifesto disguised as a toolkit. Every illustration reinforces the core message: change doesn't need permission; it needs courage.

The design language deliberately avoids corporate polish. Striking magenta and black create urgency. Dramatic visuals transform abstract concepts into visceral experiences. Each experiment lives on a clean spread with clear effort indicators, making the threshold to action impossibly low.

Typography balances impact with accessibility: bold headlines command attention whilst body copy remains inviting. The structure mirrors the philosophy – nine themed sections, 26 bite-sized provocations, zero bureaucratic bloat.

The book functioned as both marketing collateral and cultural artefact. Clients didn't just receive it; they shared it. The simple layouts proved that design thinking doesn't require huge budgets – just clarity of vision and the courage to be unapologetically bold.

Sometimes the most effective marketing tool isn't selling services. It's demonstrating the very philosophy you're advocating.
