PORTFOLIO: CAREER STRATEGY FOR A GLOBAL DATA COMPANY | EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE
Uncovering a love language for career development
A career strategy for a global data and measurement company, built with the people who'll carry it forward.
From insights gathered to working prototypes, for 15,000 employees.
7 weeks
The challenge
The client's annual employee voice survey flagged career sentiment below where the business wanted it — a signal, not yet a story.
We were brought in to find out what sat behind the numbers, building on their own survey data with focus groups and interviews across the business. They not only surfaced detail no survey score could show, but started building the buy-in any real solution would need to stick.
What emerged was a bigger opportunity: a clearer, more distinctive story of what a career here actually offers, reaching from the top floor to someone's first week.
With research and delivery compressed into a single seven-week sprint, the job was to find that story fast, build something real enough to test quickly, and leave it sturdy enough to carry forward.
The solution
As with all Eulio projects, we co-created in weekly sprints. Partnering with the learning and culture team, HR business partners, senior leadership, and employee advisory councils, we moved straight from research to building and testing, all in the open, so the capability stayed within the organisation.
The deliverables
A clear and simple career philosophy and identity, anchored in a reciprocal give-and-get, acting as the single banner everything else would live under:
A career vision and philosophy, tested with senior leadership
A distinct brand and visual identity for the programme, along with Career site design
Manager and Employee Conversation Guides, with candid questions
A redesigned Individual Development Plan
A first set of proto-personas and a visual career journey map
Early interactive prototype concepts, ready for Phase 2 testing
The outcome
In seven weeks, the client went from a career story nobody could quite put into words to a shared language, a working toolkit, and a rhythm of quarterly conversations both sides actually own. Two early prototypes — a five-minute prep tool and a conversation-to-action companion — are built and queued for real testing in Phase 2. The work landed with owners across HR, leadership and the wider business as a foundation the employee experience strategy is already building on.
What’s next
Phase 2 deepens the proto-personas into full employee journeys. Plus, we hope to build and test early prototypes for viability before any tech decisions land.
But at the heart are real stories — sourced and compiled employee journeys from every region, shaped into content built to travel across channels. Perhaps an in-person expo, creative video storytelling, or even a magazine are concepts ready to build and test: the seeds of a life-arc narrative project, telling the organisation's career story through the people living it.
